Ḥadīth query: Prophet Musā (peace be upon him) and the 70000 veils between Allah and the fasting person being lifted
There is a message circulating on social media which states the following: Once Prophet Mūsa (peace be upon him) asked Allah Almighty: O Allah! You have granted me the honour and privilege of talking to you directly, have you given this privilege to any other person? Allah Almighty replied, “O Musa, during the last period, I am going to send a nation, this will be the nation of Muḥammad with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with eyes sunken deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the pangs of hunger, they will supplicate to me and be much closer to me than you O Mūsa. When you speak to me, there are 70,000 veils between you and me but at the time of ifṭār there will not be a single veil between Me and the fasting person from the nation of Muḥammad. O Musā, I have taken upon myself the responsibility that at the time of ifṭār, I will not refuse the supplication of a fasting person.”
Is this narration authentic and should it be circulated?
